Lamborghini is almost ready to unveil the SCV12 as the company’s website features a revealing teaser image and a message saying “stay tuned.”

Starting with the picture, you can see the SCV12 is pretty hardcore as its aggressive side skirts hug the ground. Elsewhere, there’s a carbon fiber front splitter and stylish LED lights with a distinctive octagonal shape.

While the darkened teaser image hides some key details, the model will have a wedge-like design with a roof-mounted scoop. Other notable highlights include ventilated front fenders, a massive wing and flaps behind the rear wheels.

Previous pictures have also shown a ventilated hood, canards and large side scoops. There will also be a prominent diffuser and a dual exhaust system.

While Lamborghini hasn’t spilled all the beans, the company has already said plenty about the limited edition track car. In particular, the SCV12 will ride on a “new fully carbon fiber chassis that allows for a greater power-to-weight ratio as well as the best handling and circuit driving experience.” The aggressive styling will also enable the model to produce more downforce than a GT3 race car.

Power will be provided by a naturally aspirated V12 engine which produces 819 hp (610 kW / 830 PS). It will be connected to a six-speed sequential transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. Speaking of the latter, the SCV12 has 19- and 20-inch magnesium wheels that are wrapped in special Pirelli slicks.

There’s no word on when the SCV12 will be unveiled, but it’s definitely coming soon as Lamborghini has previously mentioned a summer release.
