Mopar has just introduced a two-inch lift kit system for diesel-powered Wrangler and Gladiator models.

The kit consists of four 2.5-inch diameter Fox shocks, new springs, bump stops, front control arms, and anti-roll bar end links. Each kit also comes standard with all the required hardware and bushings and can be easily bolted-in. The new suspension parts are shipped in a small wooden crate.

In addition to raising the suspension of both the Wrangler and Gladiator by a respectable 2 inches, the lift kit also increases suspension articulation by 18 percent. For buyers who may want to pair the lift kit with off-road tires larger than 33-inches, Mopar also sells a $125 speedometer calibration kit to account for any new tires.

Mopar will sell the Wrangler and Gladiator lift kits for $1,495 each. All parts in the kit include two years/unlimited mile warranties or warranties up to the remainder of the vehicle’s new warranty of three years/36,000 miles.

The lift kit has been specifically tuned for EcoDiesel-equipped Wrangler and Gladiator models. Although the EcoDiesel adds lots of welcome torque to the Wrangler and Gladiator, it does add a lot of weight as expected. In fact, the Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel is more than 400 lbs (181 kg) heavier than an equivalent Wrangler with the 3.6-liter V6 and an automatic transmission.

The direct bolt-on kit includes model-specific springs for the diesel model, to optimize the performance both on- and off-road, as well as longer front lower control arms for the ideal caster settings and unique heavy-duty bushings. Add to that the set of Fox shocks, front and rear bump stops, and various fasteners.
