Ram has released another teaser of the 1500 TRX that shows the performance pickup truck playing off the beaten path.

Since the performance truck will debut on August 17, at 12:00 p.m. EDT, this is perhaps the last preview of the model. Previous sightings were a bit more revealing than the latest clip, which is only 24 seconds long and doesn’t show the 1500 TRX clearly, as the vehicle is either far away from the camera or hidden by the sand that it kicked up.

With the Ford F-150 Raptor in its sights, the 1500 TRX will launch with bespoke exterior styling that will make it look more aggressive than any version of the truck currently on sale.

Flared wheel arches, large power dome hood and new bumpers, in addition to beefy wheels shod in chunky rubber, are expected to be part of the package. Expect a few changes in the cabin as well.

Nonetheless, it is beneath the skin that the Ram 1500 TRX will truly shine, thanks to the beefed-up suspension setup and different off-road driving modes that will enhance its ability to travel on arduous terrains.

The icing on the cake will be the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. Better known as the Hellcat, the power plant is capable of pumping out as much as 797 horsepower, though it might be de-tuned in the 1500 TRX. The exact output and torque are unknown, but it could kick out 707 HP and 645 lb-ft (875 Nm), making it a true force of nature.
