The GMC Hummer EV lineup is growing as the company will unveil a new SUV on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

Expected to be virtually identical to the pickup, the SUV will feature a familiar front fascia with a slender grille that is flanked by LED headlights. We can also expect a rugged front bumper and a skid plate that hints at the model’s off-road prowess.

While the front end carries over, the truck bed will replaced by a sloping roof and a liftgate with a rear-mounted spare tire. Despite the changes, the SUV is expected to retain the Infinity Roof which features removable panels that can be stored in the frunk.

Inside, there should be a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.4-inch infotainment system. Drivers can also expect to find the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system and an UltraVision camera system with a virtual spotter function.

Powertrain options should carryover and include a range-topping Edition 1 variant with three electric motors that produce a combined output of 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1,014 PS) and 11,500 lb-ft (15,592 Nm) of torque. This enables the pickup to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in approximately three seconds and have a range in excess of 350 miles (563 km).

Following the SUV’s launch, we can expect additional variants including a 3X model with 300+ miles (483+ km) of range and three motors developing 830 hp (619 kW / 842 PS). Buyers should also be able to upgrade to the same powertrain used in the Edition 1.

Later, we can expect a more mainstream 2X variant with two electric motors producing up to 625 hp (466 kW / 634 PS) and 7,400 lb-ft (10,033 Nm) of torque. This version should have a range of around 300+ miles (483 km) on a single charge.  It should be followed by an entry-level 2 variant which has the same powertrain but a shorter range of 250+ miles (402+ km).
