Auditography took a trip to Plock, Poland, to film another video. Its main star is a 2021 Audi S8 in Seville Red Metallic, which demonstrated its ultrafast acceleration in front of the camera, revealing that it is actually half a second faster than the official estimate.

A challenger to the likes of the Mercedes-AMG S63, the super limo took a whopping 3.3 seconds to complete the 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration. By comparison, Audi claims that it will do it in 3.8 seconds, en route to a 250 km/h (155 mph) electronically limited top speed.

Review: 2020 Audi S8 Is A Sleeper Limo That Can Run The Quarter-Mile In 11.5 Seconds

The 2021 S8 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine, aided by a mild-hybrid 48-volt set-up, that puts out 571 PS (563 HP / 420 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). The thrust goes to the quattro all-wheel drive system with center locking differential and rear ‘Quattro Sport’ differential, channeled by an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Despite weighing a massive 2.3 tons (5,070 lbs), the Audi S8 can run the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds. And if you won’t see it coming or don’t notice its sportier exterior design with more aggressive bumpers and quad tailpipes, then you most definitely will hear it, because that V8 produces a very sweet tone, as you can see in the video.
