Lexus’s do-it-all off-roader, the GX 460, will receive a handful of upgrades for the 2022 model year that include new standard tech and a Black Line Edition.

To start, every GX 460 will get standard Intuitive Parking Assist, navigation, and power-folding mirrors, all helpful given the size of this SUV. A new 10.3-inch screen, meanwhile, helps make the cabin look even more refined. The new infotainment system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as their virtual assistants and Amazon Alexa.

Along with the rest of the lineup, Lexus‘ full suite of safety tech is also standard. That includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Intelligent High Beams, and High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

For those who want something a bit more special, the Black Line Special Edition builds on the GX 460 Premium grade trim. Available in three colors, customers can choose to either go all black with Black Onyx paint or highlight the dark details with Starfire Pearl or Nori Green Pearl, which is exclusive to this trim package.

It sits on 18-inch gloss black wheels, has a blackout chrome grille surround, and special fog lamp garnishes. It also has Black Line lower front and rear bumper valences, Garnet Red taillamps, black roof rails, and body-colored door handles.

Inside, meanwhile, the GX 460 Black Line Edition gets a black headliner and a number of surfaces (such as the seats) are finished in bi-tone black Nuluxe with gray-colored bolster inserts and stitching. All of the trim is made of matte black ash wood.

Pricing for the Black Line Edition has not yet been revealed. The 2021 GX 460 Premium, though, starts at $56,540.
