Dacia unveiled the brand new Jogger a few days ago and today the model made its first public appearance at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show in Munich. Since Dacia describes the Jogger as an outdoor family car, the 7-seater is fittingly showcased on the automaker’s floating Lake Camp, which is basically a wooden barge near the motor show’s entrance.

Despite being based on the CMF-B platform used in supermini models (B-Segment), the Jogger is the longest vehicle in Dacia’s range. In fact, measuring 4,547 mm (179 inches), it is +206 mm (8.1 inches) longer than the Duster. This is more evident in the live pictures we have from the show, with our associate photographers taking the time to step inside the 7-seater cabin.

The new photos also do justice to the modern and adventurous design of the Jogger’s body which blends styling cues from estates and SUVs rather nicely. From the back, the upright tail with a vertical cut and the Volvo-inspired high-positioned taillights make it look more like an SUV and less like the slimmer estate crossovers. Also, the fact that its front end is shared with the Sandero Stepway, doesn’t take away from its charm with the aggressive headlights and the skid plates merging nicely with the longer body.

With all 7 seats in place, there is only a small 160-213 lt (5.7-7.5 cubic feet) boot but in the five-seat configuration, it offers an impressive 708-842 lt (25-29.7 cubic feet) of capacity. Then, if you are moving houses or helping a friend move furniture – we guess that this is something estate owners usually do – then you have 1,819 lt (64.2 cubic feet) of available space with the third row removed and the second row folded down.

Dacia claims the cabin can accommodate 7 adult passengers in comfort, however, it does look a bit claustrophobic for the guys sitting at the back despite having plenty of headroom (855 mm / 33.6 inches) thanks to the flat roofline and enjoying the view from the rather large third windows. In any case, owners of the Jogger will be able to arrange the seats in more than 60 possible configurations.

Dacia hasn’t released information on the pricing of the Jogger, however, it states that it will offer the “best price-to-space ratio in the segment” as “the most affordable 7-seater on the market”.

Visitors of the IAA Mobility Show will be able to check out the Jogger until the 12th of September. Dacia will also have a Base Camp at Königsplatz in Munich where it will showcase its full range of cars – including the Sandero, Sandero Steway, Duster, and Spring – while offering test drives of their fully electric supermini.
