It is no secret that the exterior styling of the A90 Toyota Supra has proven to be divisive but these teaser renderings from designer Flat HAT3D show just how drastically its looks can be altered with some simple changes. And the good news if you like what you see? They’re actually being readied for production with first deliveries set to take place in the coming months.

The most notable change made to this Supra happens at the rear-end with the taillights that are named ‘Orion’. While they retain the same overall shape as the standard taillights, they no longer feature a complex LED signature and are instead each made up of four circles, two of which act as the taillights and brake lights, while each light unit also features a dedicated circular turning signal and reversing light, exactly like the previous-generation A80 Supra.

Prior to seeing these renderings, we thought the taillights of the current Supra looked completely fine. However, we think this new design works wonders on the sports car and better pays tribute to the car’s history.

The red Supra modified by the rendering artist has also undergone a series of changes. For example, it features a unique diffuser that gives the rear end some extra aggression. The Toyota has also been rendered with extended side skirts and a set of six-spoke wheels finished in black, while the ride height has also been lowered.

Where can I order them and how much will it cost me?

FlatHAT3D points to the BRZ-ZZZ website which says they are accepting pre-orders while they “finalize the design and move forward with production” and are “expecting the first batch to ship late early 2022” – we assume that’s a typo, but if you’re sold on the lights, better to give them a shout on Instagram for more information. There are two versions on offer, the ‘Exposed’ without a plastic cover priced at $1,200 before shipping, and the ‘Covered’ units at $1,400.
