Lamborghini will reportedly unveil the facelifted Urus at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August.

Lamborghini has sold more than 16,000 examples of the Urus since it first hit the market and has been spied testing prototypes for the facelifted variant on a number of occasions. All signs point towards it following in the footsteps of the Huracan and adopting ‘Evo’ in its name.

According to a report from Italian publication Quattroruote, the new model will debut at Pebble Beach. While it may seem a little unusual for Lamborghini not to launch the facelifted Urus at a more traditional auto show, the clientele of those that attend Pebble Beach every year are the kind of people that absolutely love expensive, powerful, and luxurious SUVs like the Urus.

Lamborghini isn’t expected to make any significant upgrades to the Urus. In fact, camouflaged prototypes have looked almost identical to the outgoing model, albeit for a slightly different front fascia with revised air intakes and a new vented bonnet. Among the other changes likely to be made will be a number of different wheel and color options. The fenders have also been tweaked while the rear-end will sport a different bumper.

As for the interior, the car manufacturer will likely make some minor tweaks, perhaps including revisions to the infotainment system.

Power from the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 could be boosted in the Urus Evo. This engine is currently rated at 641 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque but we suspect horsepower will rise closer to the 670 hp mark, if not even higher.

Once the facelifted Urus has launched, a number of new variants will be added to the range. Among these will be a hybrid version with even more power and a potential ‘Performante’-style model that could rival the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT.
