The Mercedes-AMG Project One has been one of the most eagerly-awaited performance cars of recent years and yet, customer deliveries haven’t started. So, to help appease those buyers still waiting for the F1-powered hypercar, the German car manufacturer unveiled the GT Black Series P One Edition in mid-2020 and has now started handing the keys over to customers.

The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series P One Edition is only available to those who have a Project One on order and real estate mogul Manny Khoshbin is the first person in the U.S. to get the limited-run model.

Immediately making the P One Edition stand out from a regular GT Black Series is the paint scheme that’s very similar to those of recent Mercedes-AMG Formula One cars. The front half of the car is finished in a shade of silver before the paint slowly fades to black across the rear half. The car then features hundreds of little three-pointed stars incorporated into the paint.

Mercedes-AMG has also equipped the car with Petronas green accents on the side skirts and the outer rims of the black wheels. Various other parts, such as the roof and the towering rear wing, are finished in exposed carbon fiber.

The unique features continue into the cabin of the car with Petronas green-colored accents across the seats. The switch to customize the level of traction control is also finished in the same shade of green.

No mechanical modifications have been made but let’s be honest, the AMG GT Black Series is crazy enough as it is. After all, it rocks a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with a flat-plane crank churning out 720 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, all of which is funneled to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
