We Built Our Perfect 2023 Nissan Z On The Aussie Configurator, What Does Yours Look Like?

While car enthusiasts in the United States are still waiting on official prices for the 2023 Nissan Z, full pricing details and availability information for the sports car were recently announced in Australia. In addition, an online configurator for the car has been launched.

Two variants of the 2023 Z Coupe are available in Australia; the base model and the flagship Z Proto. Prices for the base model kick-off at AU$73,300 ($50,276), although that price rises to AU$80,092 ($54,935) including all on-road costs. The price is the same regardless of whether buyers opt for the six-speed manual or nine-speed ‘auto. Prices for both the manual and ‘auto 2023 Z Proto start at AU$80,700 ($55,352), or AU$87,862 ($60,264) with on-road costs.

While the Z Proto is being marketed as the flagship model, it offers no scope for personalization with all examples finished in Ikazuchi Yellow with a Super Black roof. So, if yellow isn’t your thing, you’ll have to start with the base model and configure it.

Nine color options are available for the 2023 Nissan Z in Australia, just three of which are single-tone options consisting of Rosewood Metallic, Diamond Black Metallic, and Gun Metallic. All other paint options include a Super Black Roof and consist of Brilliant Silver, Boulder Gray, Seiran Blue, Passion Red, Everest White, and Ikazuchi Yellow. Black wheels are the sole option.

Just two interior configurations are available. You can either have the cabin adorned solely in black leather or instead, have black leather contrasted with dark red accents, the latter of which we have opted for in making our ideal Z.

Regardless of which variant Aussie buyers opt for, all 2023 Z Coupe models feature an Infiniti-sourced twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 pumping out 400 hp and 350 lb-ft (475 Nm) of torque. This engine can be mated to either a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels or a nine-speed automatic with aluminum paddle shifters.
