Lancia is continuing preparations for its new era with the “Emozione Pu+Ra” event that is scheduled for April 15th. Thankfully, this one won’t be limited to inspirational talks about the future of the Italian brand, as it will also include the launch of a new concept car.

A short announcement was made by Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, who said: ” I am delighted to invite you to the Emozione Pu+Ra press event on April 15th to discover the Lancia Concept, the Brand Manifesto for the next 10 years. Save the date and stay tuned! More to come”.

Lancia Teases New Concept, Could It Be A Modern Stratos Revival?

While many were hoping for a preview of Lancia’s future production vehicles, it seems that the concept will be more of a statement hinting at the automaker’s future design language. The single teaser shot depicts the rear end of a low-slung model, with styling references to the iconic Lancia HF Stratos. In fact, the vehicle looks like an evolution of the Pu+Ra sculpture that was revealed in November 2022.

Only a small portion of the vehicle is shown but we can see the ring-style round LED taillights mounted under a black spoiler, a rear deck reminiscent of the vented engine cover of the Stratos, and a unique rear bumper. Finally, there is the Lancia lettering with the new font, and a light blueish shade combined with black accents for the exterior. We also expect the concept to feature Lancia’s illuminated “calice” grille at the front, and come fitted with a zero-emission powertrain.

Lancia Teases New Concept, Could It Be A Modern Stratos Revival?

The upcoming concept will give us a closer preview of the new design language, and spark the interest of Lancia fans who would greatly wish for a modern reincarnation of the Stratos. The reality is that a production sportscar from Lancia sounds highly unlikely at this stage, but we keep our fingers crossed for the future.

Lancia has already confirmed the debuts of three production models – the next-gen Ypsilon supermini for 2024, the Aurelia crossover for 2026, and the Delta hatchback for 2028. All of them will be offered in EV flavor based on Stellantis underpinnings, with the Ypsilon being the only one that will be available in mild-hybrid form. The original Stratos is one of the inspirations for the future models, alongside other Lancia classics like the Aurelia, Flaminia, Fulvia, Beta HPE, Gamma, Delta, and 037.
