Mitsubishi stormed the Tokyo Auto Salon with a bunch of concepts, including the Delica Mini x Coleman, In January 2023. While these kinds of builds are usually reserved for the showroom floor, the automaker is now offering a similar wrap as an option for the production Delica Mini.

Mitsubishi says that many of its customers were interested in the Delica Mini x Coleman concept, which is why they decided to offer the wrap. As suggested by its name, the design was created in collaboration with Coleman, an outdoor and camping equipment brand. It has a “greige” shade (something between grey and beige), with a lantern graphic and line pattern on the doors, and Coleman’s logo on the D-pillar. Unfortunately, the concept’s roof rack, grippy A/T tires, mud flaps, and other camping accessories are not included in the package but owners can probably add them later as aftermarket accessories.

While the wrap is compatible with all shades of the Delica Mini, the company recommends combining it with a two-tone black mica combination, since the original color will be visible on specific parts of the bodywork and the roof remains uncovered. They also suggest combining it with a gloss black finish for the dynamic shield, grill, and tailgate garnish, plus white-finished emblems in order to mimic the look of the launch car.

The cost of the Mitsubishi x Coleman package is ¥761,200 ($5,164) as a factory-fit option and ¥870,540 ($5,912) for existing Delica Mini owners. Add the ¥2,238,500 ($15,201) price of a brand-new Delica Mini T Premium 4WD which is the “recommended” trim and you have a total cost of ¥3,109,040 ($21,118) for a finished example. Availability will be limited to the Japanese market between September 9 and March 31.

The 3,395 mm (133.7 inches) long Mitsubishi Delica Mini was launched in Japan in April 2023 as an adventurous kei car with crossover aspirations set to compete with the likes of the Daihatsu Tanto FunCross and the Suzuki Hustler. The model comes fitted with a mild-hybrid 658 cc three-cylinder engine producing up to 63 hp (47 kW / 64 PS) in turbocharged form, with an additional 3 hp (2 kW / 3 PS) coming from the electric motor and the option of a full-time 4WD system.
