• Rezvani is launching a new sub-brand focused on retro-inspired models.
  • Rezvani Retro will offer vehicles that combine old school styling with modern platforms and technology.
  • The brand’s first model, the RR1, will debut on April 16.

Rezvani is best known for making customized Corvettes and Jeeps, but now they’re going old school. Or kind of. As part of this effort, they’re launching a new sub-brand called Rezvani Retro.

The company isn’t saying much at this point, but said vehicles will be “specially created to pay homage to cherished classic icons from the automotive realm.” Rezvani added they’re “dedicated to developing vehicles that capture the essence of beloved vintage models.”

That’s vague, but the company said future models will be a unique blend of past and present. While the designs will be retro-inspired, vehicles will ride on modern platforms and feature the latest technology as well as convenience features. This promises to be the best of both worlds as customers can expect classic looks as well as modern comfort.

The brand’s first model is known as the RR1 and it will be unveiled on April 16. The company isn’t saying much about it, but hinted the model is “inspired by a classic icon.”

Rezvani’s New Retro Sub-Brand Teases Porsche 935-Inspired Coupe

While the company is playing coy, they named the teaser image “935_teaser_rear.” As a result, there’s little doubt the brand is planning a Porsche 911-based sports car that pays homage to the 935.

This isn’t a new idea as Porsche themselves introduced a limited edition 935 at Rennsport Reunion in 2018. That particular model was a track-only sports car that was limited to 77 units and featured a twin-turbo 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine developing 691 hp (515 kW / 700 PS).

While the ‘real’ Porsche 935 that you can see in the gallery below cost €701,948 ($755,879), Rezvani’s model will likely be significantly cheaper. Of course, we’ll find out for sure later this month. That being said, the company is currently accepting reservations for a $500 refundable deposit.
