- Skoda celebrates 125 years with a Rally2 package.
- It adds real technical upgrades, not just decals.
- The road Fabia skips RS but gains a warm trim.
Most carmakers celebrate anniversaries with a few stickers, some extra kit, and perhaps a limited badge. Skoda has chosen a slightly noisier approach. To mark 125 years of sideways heroics on loose surfaces, the Czech brand is releasing a special edition of the Fabia RS Rally2, proving that even a full-blown rally weapon can wear an Anniversary badge without irony.
Skoda’s motorsport story dates back to 1901, when Narcis Podsedníček participated in the Paris-to-Berlin race on a Laurin & Klement motorcycle. Jump ahead to 2026, and the brand now sits at the sharp end of WRC2. To underline that lineage, every Fabia RS Rally2 delivered to customer teams throughout 2026 will come with a dedicated 125 Years package as standard.

Predictably, this is not your typical styling package, as it includes upgrades that will be useful to professional rally drivers and their teams. The package includes rear polycarbonate windows, crossmember covers for both gravel and asphalt setups, a bag for the optional extra LEDs, CV joint sleeves, light engine wiring, an updated central panel, and six magnesium OZ rims finished in special colors.
Visually, nothing fundamental changes, and that’s kind of the point. The special edition keeps its wide bodykit and aero package intact, setting itself apart instead with a fresh livery and a Dark Chrome Skoda emblem on the hood. Inside, you get a commemorative plaque and a “125 Years” welcome screen on the digital dash.
Furthermore, owners will receive a cloth car cover featuring “125 Years Skoda Motorsport” lettering and various merchandising items from the automaker’s racing division.

The Fabia RS Rally2 was originally introduced in 2022 and received a handful of upgrades in 2025. The Czech rally car is powered by a turbo 1.6-liter engine capped at 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS). Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed sequential gearbox, working with front and rear mechanical differentials to keep traction in check.
The Fabia RS Rally2 has been the weapon of choice for WRC2 Drivers’ championships over the past three seasons (2022-2025), following two years of the previous-generation Fabia Rally2 Evo (2021-2022) and four years of the Fabia R5 (2016-2019). Last year, the model also claimed titles in the European, Middle Eastern, and Asia-Pacific Rally Championships.
What About The Roadgoing Fabia?
While the Fabia RS Rally2 delivers serious performance and presence, its road-going counterpart never received an RS version. Instead, Skoda recently introduced the Fabia 130, nudging it into warm hatch territory.
The model features an upgraded turbo 1.5-liter engine producing 175 hp (177 PS), paired with lowered suspension and recalibrated steering software. It also adds subtle aero elements, including a front splitter, a rear spoiler, and a diffuser, along with 130 badging and smoked 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers.
