- Volvo aims to become the European importer for Lynk & Co.
- Models would be sold and serviced at existing Volvo retailers.
- Move aims to help Lynk & Co grow while also aiding dealerships.
Volvo has some Geely good news to share as they’ve signed a memorandum of understanding to become the exclusive importer of Lynk & Co vehicles in Europe. This would see them take control of the brand’s operations on the continent as well as support their future growth plans.
If everything goes according to plan, Volvo will use their existing European dealership network to handle sales and service for Lynk & Co. The company sees this as a win-win scenario as retailers can expect increased sales as well as more service customers.

On top of that, Volvo said Lynk & Co vehicles will “complement” its own products as well as broaden its customer base. That being said, there’s some overlap as the Chinese vehicles start between €35,995 ($41,260) and €55,995 ($64,185) in Germany, and are related to some Volvo models. Of course, the similarities should help when it comes to repairs and servicing.
The move is designed to help Lynk & Co grow in Europe, while also allowing Volvo to “increase its addressable market and reach a wider audience without additional product investments.” Volvo added this isn’t a huge change as there’s already an ongoing partnership, which has seen some retailers sell both Volvo and Lynk & Co cars.
Volvo’s chief commercial officer, Erik Severinson, said “With this new arrangement, we will leverage our commercial system to support Lynk & Co’s growth ambitions in Europe. At the same time, it enables Volvo Cars and our retail partners to address a wider customer base. With the support of our retailers and our commercial organization, Lynk & Co can achieve its true potential in Europe.”
Lynk & Co’s European lineup consists of the 01, 02, and 08. The latter is a plug-in hybrid crossover that features a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 39.6 kWh battery pack, and an electric motor. This gives the model a combined output of 345 hp (257 kW / 349 PS) as well as an electric-only range of up to 124 miles (200 km).
