• Chinese-built electric golf cart copies the RAM TRX’s design surprisingly closely.
  • Street-legal four-seater sold for only $3,900 despite having air conditioning.
  • Auction commenters mocked the quality but admired the scaled-down interior.

If you’re a RAM TRX fan on a budget, ownership might be out of reach. After all, nothing with 700 horsepower is cheap. That said, there are some fun alternatives out there like this 2025 Henan Seabiscuit. Technically, it’s registered as a golf cart, and it’s street legal.

That said, it’s probably terrible for the links but awesome for bopping around the local community. Someone just picked it up for a cool $3,900. That is less than what a set of wheels and tires for a real TRX or a Hellcat can cost.

That figure is especially wild when you consider what this thing actually includes. Unlike most golf carts that barely offer a roof and a cupholder, this one came with power windows, power locks, a digital gauge cluster, Bluetooth infotainment, and even air conditioning. Yes, air conditioning in a golf cart that costs less than many people spend upgrading their cars.

The body is made from fiberglass and clearly takes heavy inspiration from the full-size RAM TRX. It has the same bluff front end, squared-off wheel arches, chunky-looking hood, and even a scaled-down pickup bed in the rear. The cabin is far less RAM-like than the exterior, but a few design cues still mimic the gas-guzzling pickup.

That said, it’s probably not an optimal golf cart. The bed doesn’t appear to have any accoutrements for the sport, and neither does the cabin itself. On top of that, getting in and out quickly is no longer an option since there are doors to open and close.

Auction commenters were split between being horrified and weirdly impressed. One of the most upvoted comments joked that opening the hood revealed “absolutely nothing,” while another said the cart made a Chevy Cavalier look “like a finely crafted automobile.”

They weren’t entirely wrong. The listing disclosed chipped paint, corrosion, worn seats, warped door panels, loose wiring, and a steering wheel that looked far older than the claimed 100 miles on the odometer. Even so, several commenters pointed out that replicating the TRX-inspired interior at this scale likely required a surprising amount of effort and tooling.

Underneath the cartoonishly aggressive bodywork sits a single 3 kW electric motor driving the rear wheels. Evidently, it’ll achieve speeds of up to 30 mph and has a range of around 30 miles. Honestly, at just $3,900, it’s probably one of the coolest little vehicles out there for whatever one might want to do with it.
