- Hennessey’s Super Venom squeezes 850 hp from the Mustang’s V8.
- Ford’s factory warranty carries over despite the significant tune.
- The 35-unit production cap marks the company’s 35th anniversary.
With a tagline of ‘Making Fast Cars Faster,’ Hennessey Performance has established itself as one of the go-to places in the US for those looking to extract the most performance out of some of the market’s fastest cars. Now in its 35th year, the Texas firm is celebrating with a special edition Ford Mustang.
Known as the ‘Super Venom,’ it’s based on a 2026 Mustang and could be considered as Hennessey’s answer to the new Mustang Dark Horse SC. Admittedly, it’s not quite as track-focused as that model, but it does pack an even greater punch.

The 5.0-liter V8 now wears a large supercharger, pushing output to 850 hp and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) at 4,900 rpm. That gives it a clear horsepower edge over the 815 hp GTD, while falling just 14 lb-ft (19 Nm) short of that range-topping figure.
Hennessey introduced its regular Super Venom early last year, with the only distinguishing detail of the new one being the fact that it’ll be limited to just 35 units, celebrating the company’s anniversary. It also comes equipped with custom ‘35’ fender badging and a ‘91’ hood graphic commemorating the firm’s 1991 founding.
Carbon Parts, And A Ford Warranty
Beyond the engine changes, the Super Venom boasts several new carbon fiber parts, including a new front splitter, side skirts, and louvers on the front fenders. There’s also a functional hood vent to help extract hot air from the engine bay, while a large fixed wing is found at the rear. Custom 20-inch lightweight wheels have also been fitted.
Hennessey says its boosted Mustang can run down the quarter-mile in just 10.9 seconds at 133 mph (214 km/h), and needs only 3.2 seconds to reach 60 mph (96 km/h). Despite all the added performance, the car retains the original Ford factory warranty, as well as a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty from Hennessey itself.
Perhaps the only downside is the cost. While Hennessey hasn’t announced pricing for the limited-run of 35 cars, the regular Super Venom starts at $149,950 when based on the GT, or $163,950 when based on the Dark Horse. That makes it much more expensive than the Mustang Dark Horse SC, which starts at $108,485.
