- These Wrangler renders explore a more refined, premium design direction.
- Body-colored trim and added chrome reshape its traditionally rugged look.
- The idea targets buyers cross-shopping luxury SUVs like the Mercedes G-Class.
The Jeep Wrangler has remained remarkably consistent over the decades, providing back-to-basics off-road capability and reasonable on-road manners at a price point within the budgets of many new-car buyers. However, what could it look like if Jeep decided to boost Wrangler margins by launching a luxurious, high-end variant?
That’s exactly the idea behind these detailed renderings. Created by Abimelec Design, they imagine the Wrangler as a more polished, upmarket machine aimed at buyers flirting with something like a Mercedes-AMG G 63, just without the nearly $200,000 starting price. It’s not something you’d expect Jeep to greenlight anytime soon, but it does raise an interesting question about just how far Jeep could stretch the Wrangler formula.

To make the Wrangler look a little classier and more fitting of a six-figure price tag, the designer has dropped the black bumpers and wheel arches of the standard model, instead adopting body-colored parts. In addition, plenty of chrome has been added to the front grille and air intakes.
Elsewhere, the Jeep features side-exiting tailpipes similar to those of the G-Class, while the rear gains a more polished spare wheel cover that better matches the upscale theme.
Hellcat Power
Were Jeep to ever try to turn the Wrangler into something like a smaller G-Class offering, it’d have to work extensively to improve its performance on the road. As such, Abimelec Design would like to see it adopt independent front suspension, ensuring the Wrangler’s death wobble issues are a thing of the past.
Jeep already sells the Wrangler with a V8 in the US, so it’d make sense for a flagship model to also stick with eight cylinders. One possibility would be to offer the 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8, which could give the Wrangler more than 700 hp. To deal with that, some big brakes would be needed, and are shown in these renders.
If Jeep were to ever make a high-end, luxurious version of the Wrangler, with an appropriate interior, do you think anyone would be willing to buy it over a Mercedes G-Class or Land Rover Defender? Let us know your thoughts below.
