• Mustang owner own shows off Porsche-colored GTD on YouTube.
  • Rubystar Neo is a bright magenta paint usually seen on GT3s.
  • GTD was also ordered with the $50k aero Performance Package.

The Ford Mustang GTD is closer to a Porsche 911 GT3 RS than a regular Blue Oval pony car, but one owner decided to blur the lines even more with a cheeky Porsche-inspired configurator decision.

Instead of sticking with a traditional Mustang palette, entrepreneur Pejman Ghadimi went straight into Porsche territory and picked Rubystar Neo. It’s that unmistakable magenta shade you sometimes see lighting up GT3 and RS cars from Stuttgart, not something you expect splashed across America’s most extreme pony car.

Ghadimi, who controversially describes the the GT3 RS as “the biggest piece of sh**,” explained his color choice as a “direct (explicit) you” to Porsche, and having waited seven months for the car to be delivered after placing the order, he was finally able to see it in the carbon last month.

The result is equal parts brilliant and slightly confusing. From a distance, your brain says Porsche. Up close, the aggressive aero, massive wing, and sheer attitude scream Ford Mustang GTD. It’s a visual identity crisis in the best possible way.

Underneath that eye-popping paint, the GTD is all business, including a supercharged 5.2 liter V8 delivering over 800 hp (811 PS). This particular example also packs the optional Performance Package, a bundle of aerodynamic wizardry and weight-saving tricks that adds $50k to a starting price Ford is coy about revealing, but which is believed to be around $330,000.

No RS For US

The GT3 RS is not currently offered in the US, but last year, it cost $251,995 delivered. The GT3 is still on the menu in 2026 and costs $238,150 in both winged and non-winged Touring forms.

Rubstyar Neo is a modern take on the early 1990s Rubystar seen on cars like the 964 RS and was reintroduced to Porsche’s lineup as a regular optional color for MY23. It’s no longer available, but you can dress your car in the original Rubystar for a chunky $17,210 via Porsche’s Paint to Sample program.
