- Alpine has revealed a mule of the third-generation A110.
- Car rides on a new platform and features dual rear motors.
- The lineup will expand to include a new roadster variant.
Alpine has revealed the A110 Future, ahead of its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week. It’s a development mule that hints at the electric, third-generation sports car.
Since this is a mule, there isn’t much to see as the prototype appears to wear a modified version of the outgoing A110 body. However, we can get a glimpse of a more aggressive front bumper and a blockier rear end with a side-mounted charging port. The model also sports a transparent, quick release hood as well as what appears to be a wider front track.

The automaker isn’t saying much at this point, but claimed the upcoming A110 will be the “world’s first true EV sports car.” It will be underpinned by the new Alpine Performance Platform, which is a modular aluminum architecture that will also spawn an A110-based roadster as well as a new A310 four-seat sports coupe.
Alpine went on to say the next-generation sports car will have two battery packs, which have been broken up to deliver a 40:60 weight distribution for the “balance of a true sports car.” The model will also have 800V technology and “high energy density cells to reduce weight and charging time.”
The batteries will power a new 3-in-1 rear e-axle with dual electric motors. They promise to deliver “exceptional torque, performance, and ultrafast control.”
Alpine went on to say the coupe will have an aluminum suspension with “new integrated braking and steering systems.” While that’s a little hazy, the company said the car has been “designed to remain true to Alpine’s DNA while outperforming the best of today’s combustion sports cars.”
