2024 Audi Q6 E-Tron Shows Its Techy Interior, Could Pack 469 HP

Spy photographers have snapped the Audi Q6 e-tron on numerous occasions and now we’re finally getting a good look inside.

While we’ve seen a few glimpses in the past, the latest spy photos reveal the electric crossover will have a trapezoidal digital instrument cluster and a freestanding infotainment system. The former resides behind a flat-bottom steering wheel that appears to be shared with the Q4 e-tron.

Elsewhere, we can see a flowing dashboard, slender air vents, and a minimalist center console. The latter is largely devoid of switchgear, but it sports a streamlined shifter, a start/stop button, and what appears to be a dedicated volume controller.

Outside, there isn’t much to see as spy photographers have already snapped the Q6 e-tron’s undisguised front end. That particular prototype featured a fully enclosed grille that was flanked by low-mounted headlights and upper daytime running lights that appeared to have customizable lighting signatures. This prototype is notably different as it sports more traditional lighting units.

Putting the lights aside, we can see the crossover has curvaceous bodywork and a gently sloping roof. The prototype also rides on sizable wheels that are backed up by a braking system with red calipers. Other highlights include slender taillights and what appears to be an aerodynamically optimized rear bumper.

Specifications are more mysterious, but the crossover will ride on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture and could have a roughly 100 kWh battery pack. The latter is expected to power a dual motor all-wheel drive system producing a combined output of 469 hp (350 kW / 476 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. Additional powertrains are expected and spy photographers recently snapped what’s believed to be the RS Q6 e-tron. That particular model could have a dual motor all-wheel drive system producing up to 637 hp (475 kW / 646 PS) in boost mode.

The Audi Q6 e-tron was originally slated to debut this year, but it’s possible the unveiling will be pushed back as the similar Porsche Macan EV has been delayed to 2024.
