Manhart has never been afraid of taking an already-great car and attempting to make it even better and for its latest project, it decided to take on the beloved Range Rover Sport. Its finished creation is dubbed the Sport SV 650 and it includes a host of exterior, interior, and mechanical alterations.

The tuner first started with the engine. As standard, the SUV’s 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 is good for 523 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque in P530 guise, more than enough for the vast majority of Range Rover Sport owners out there. Manhart has fitted its MHtronik powerbox that increases the SUV’s output to 653 hp and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm). Complementing the added power is a new exhaust system with OPF filters with remote-controlled valves.

The ride height of the SUV has then been dropped by 30 mm thanks to new coupling rods. A set of massive 24×10-inch forged wheels have also been fitted and are wrapped in 295/35 tires at all four corners. The bright gold finish of these wheels makes them particularly striking. As standard, Manhart doesn’t touch the brakes but customers can order larger brakes on request.

Exterior changes continue with a comprehensive set of gold-colored decals. These decals are found on the front splitter, front air intake surrounds, front grille surround, and across the hood. Large decals and stripes are also visible on the side skirts, wing mirrors, roof, tailgate, and rear diffuser. Completing the modifications are Manhart-branded floor mats.

Soon, Land Rover itself will launch a more potent version of the Range Rover Sport dubbed the SV. This model will act as the replacement for the SVR and is expected to use a tuned version of the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 used by the BMW X5 M. We don’t yet know how powerful it will be but the X5 M Competition is good for 617 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm).
