• Jeep expands the Gladiator lineup with an all-new premium trim.
  • New model adds LED lighting, 18-inch wheels, and painted parts.
  • Heated leather seats and steering wheel come standard inside.

The Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler have a lot in common, but the midsize truck has never been offered in Sahara guise. This is an odd oversight as the moniker dates back to 1988 and has been used on higher-end versions of the iconic SUV.

Jeep is now addressing the snub by offering a luxurious new Gladiator Sahara, which starts at $47,125 before a $1,995 destination fee. That’s pretty pricey, but it undercuts the four-wheel drive GMC Canyon Denali by $5,875.

While the model costs $5,100 more than a Gladiator Sport S, it comes with a ton of additional equipment including body-color fender flares and a body-color hardtop. They’re joined by LED lighting units and 18-inch aluminum wheels, which can be wrapped in either all-season or all-terrain tires at no extra cost.

The off-road brand didn’t release interior pictures, but said the Gladiator Sahara comes nicely equipped with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats wrapped in McKinley leather. They’re joined by a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. Buyers will also find remote start and remote keyless entry.

Jeep didn’t provide a detailed equipment list, but it sounds like the Sahara cribs heavily from the Gladiator Sport S’ options list. In particular, that truck’s $4,295 Premium Package includes leather seats, a body-color hard top, and 18-inch wheels.

The Sahara also has a number of features from the Sport S’ $1,795 Convenience Group, including a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, remote start, body-color fender flares, and a digital instrument cluster.

The company alluded to this fact as they noted the Sahara includes $4,685 worth of content from the Sport S. This means if you’re looking for a well-equipped Gladiator, the Sahara might be the way to go.

The Gladiator Sahara is currently available to order, although there’s no word on when deliveries will begin. However, they shouldn’t be too far off as it’s a 2026 model.
