GM Defense has teamed up with Barrett-Jackson to offer the first-ever Infantry Squad Vehicle–Utility (ISV-U) to the public. The Colorado-based ultra-light tactical vehicle will go up for auction on April 18 and 100% of the hammer price benefits the Medal of Honor Foundation.
The one-off model wears a custom livery that celebrates America’s 250th anniversary as well as the Medal of Honor and the U.S. Army units that use the ISV-U. As you can see, it sports an Olive Drab exterior with a black rear end featuring star graphics.

The open five-seater also has a roll cage, skid plates, recovery hooks, and a short windshield. They’re joined by analog and digital gauges as well as 17-inch wheels wrapped in meaty BFGoodrich KM3 tires.
The ISV-U was built for “high-speed, off-road mobility” and features a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel four-cylinder engine that reportedly produces 275 hp (205 kW / 279 PS) and 420 lb-ft (569 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system. The model also sports DSSV dampers as well as electronic locking front and rear differentials sourced from the Colorado ZR2.
Given this is a military vehicle, there are a lot of caveats to private ownership. The biggest is the model is not street-legal and is “not certified to comply with any federal, state or local laws.” On top of that, the ISV-U is “subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations” and the buyer needs to be an American citizen.
