- Stellantis is giving US customers 10 years of free remote start.
- Company also slashed in-car WiFi prices by $2 per month.
- Buyers can get 3-years of SiriusXM at a “significant discount.”
Automotive subscriptions are the bane of our existence as companies are putting high-tech features behind a paywall. If you want hands-free driving or remote connectivity, they want money.
While that dynamic isn’t going to change as there’s tons of money to be made, Stellantis is making things slightly less terrible. In fact, they’re adding remote engine start/stop to their Connect One plan, which comes standard on all 2027 models for ten years.

The complimentary plan also provides remote locking/unlocking, vehicle health reports, and emergency calls. It also has “basic navigation,” over-the-air updates, and support for digital key technology on select models.
That isn’t the only change as pricing for the optional Connect Wi-Fi Plus plan has been slashed from $17.99 per month to $15.99 per month. That’s an 11% savings and it provides unlimited Wi-Fi data as well as stolen vehicle assistance, theft alarm alerts, and a vehicle finder. There’s also more advanced navigation with a fuel finder, parking finder, and speed camera alert – among other things.
Certain models have slightly different plans as the 2027 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer S come with ten years of Connect One and three years of Connect Plus at no extra charge. It’s a similar scenario for 2027 Alfa Romeo vehicles, while the ancient Dodge Durango and Jeep Compass rely on the old school SiriusXM Guardian platform.
New SiriusXM Subscription Options
Stellantis has teamed up with SiriusXM for a few new options. Key among them is the ability to order a 2027 model with a three-year SiriusXM Extended Service subscription and have it factored into the MSRP. The companies are promising a “significant discount,” but there’s no word on how much savings customers can expect.
If you initially pass on the plan, you can sign up for FlexCare Sounds Powered by SiriusXM within 75 days. This “enables new owners to easily add a three-year SiriusXM Extended Service subscription through the dealership’s Finance & Insurance office.” Of course, we wouldn’t be surprised if customers have to pay slightly more.
