New Volvo XC60 Could Debut At The 2017 Geneva Motor Show

With less than three months until Geneva Motor Show opens its gates, reports are starting to flow in about possible premieres, and the next generation Volvo XC60 is in one of them.

Believed to debut at the Swiss event next March, as AutoExpress writes, the premium compact SUV will replace the current model, which has been around since 2008, and challenge the likes of the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Audi Q5.

The new XC60, which will be underpinned by a shorter version of the SPA architecture, is believed to be visually inspired by the XC90, adopting the ‘Thor’s hammer’ LED headlights that flank the chrome grille at the front, along with vertical taillights at rear.

The cabin is also expected to mirror the one of the XC90 and, depending on the selected grade, it will come with a new infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and an assortment of comfort and safety features. The D4 and D5 diesels are believed to be part of the engine family, along with the T8 plug-in hybrid, and it remains to be seen which petrol units will join the line-up.
