Nissan will unveil the all-new NP300 Navara light pickup truck for the European market at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

Already on sale in Asia, the Nissan NP300 Navara for Europe will likely be identical both styling-wise and technically with the version sold in Thailand and other Asian countries.

Nissan is confident the new vehicle’s “striking design, refinement, innovative technologies and car-like efficiency mean the NP300 Navara will set a new benchmark in the one ton pick-up market.” No other details were offered, but the replacement to the current Navara in Europe should be offered with the same engines as in Asia.

The pickup truck is available there with an upgraded version of the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine, available in two states of tune: 161hp and 403Nm (297 lb-ft) of torque, and 188hp and 450Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, respectively. There’s also a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine on offer, but it will probably have very little relevance in Europe.
