Lotus F1 Team’s sponsor EMC has set up a highly spectacular stunt featuring a 2013 Formula 1 Lotus car, one of the team’s massive Renault trucks and a ramp.
While the simple enumeration of three elements would lead one to believe that the stunt consists of the F1 car jumping over the truck, the reality is much more complex. In fact, it is exactly the other way round, with the F1 car passing underneath the jumping truck.
In doing so, EMC and the Lotus F1 Team have also set a new Guinness World Record for a truck jump: 83 feet 7 inches (25.47 meters).
The truck was driven by famous stuntman Mike Ryan of “Fast and Furious” fame, while the dangerous task of driving the F1 car under the jumping truck went to another stuntman who did work on the James Bond and Bourne movie franchises. Head down to watch this unbelievable stunt.
