Around a month-and-a-half ago, Renault published some teaser photographs of its cosmetically refreshed 2012 New Twingo ahead of its world premiere at the 64th International Auto Show in Frankfurt Germany.

While details still remain slim, we just got out hands on an official promotional video that provides us with a detailed view of the styling changes made to the small French hatchback.

Renault says the New Twingo is the first mass production vehicle to be inspired by the brand’s new design identity. On the outside, the updated mini gains a new front treatment with reshaped headlamps, a larger and more vertically positioned Renault logo that is now encompassed in a slim grille and a redesigned bumper that houses a pair of large round lights. At the back, the most significant change concerns the new split tail lamps.

From the video, it appears that Renault didn’t alter the styling of the Twingo’s interior.

Check back next week for more on the Twingo from our coverage of the Frankfurt motor show.
