Talk about a driver with a license to kill; a 60-year old woman in a Lincoln LS drove about 18 miles on the wrong side of Interstate 5 in Washington at speeds of up to 100mph (160km/h) before state troopers were able to stop her!

Miraculously and even though several drivers called in to the police to report near misses, there was no crash or injuries.

As it turned out, the Pamela Drawsby, was heavily intoxicated after she mixed alcohol and prescription drugs. “I compare her to a bullet out of a gun; she was just waiting to hit something,” Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill told KVAL news.

The police said that they used loudspeakers, sirens and even spotlights to make her stop but to no avail. They then shut down the highway and employed spikes and a roadblock which did the trick.

“This could’ve been so much worse,” said Gill. “The chances of surviving a head-on crash at 100 MPH are virtually nonexistent.”

The woman was of course arrested on DUI and a variety of other charges.
