The Subaru BRZ sports coupe will go on sale in the UK this summer with on-the-road prices ranging from £24,995 to £27,995, the same as its Toyota GT 86 alter ego.

There’s a choice of two trim grades, SE and SE LUX, and two six-speed transmissions, a standard manual or for £1,500 more, an automatic with paddle shifters. All BRZ’s are powered by the same 2.0-liter flat-four.

Subaru also plans to offer a cheaper and more basic S model based on the JDM BRZ RA in 2013.

The SE model features electrically-folding door mirrors with heaters, leather-trimmed steering wheel, parking brake and gearshift lever, keyless Smart Entry with push-button engine start and a six-speaker audio system with CD, radio and iPod connectivity.

In addition to the aforementioned amenities, the SE LUX includes heated leather seats. Subaru offers only two optional extras, a Pioneer satellite navigation priced at £1,000 and special paint finishes at £500.

The BRZ is available in six different shades named Satin White Pearl, Sterling Silver Metallic, Dark Grey Metallic, Crystal Black Silica, San Remo Red, and WR Blue Mica.
