Now here is a road rage incident with a somewhat unexpected ending. For starters, and as you may have already figured out by our movie-related title, this incident did not take place in Russia but in Israel.

While we saw the video posted on several channels today, we tracked down the original clip on YouTube, which was uploaded in April of 2011 and somehow escaped our attention at the time.

The footage from the dashboard mounted camera shows the car driving along the road when suddenly (at the 1 minute mark) a blue-colored Renault 19 makes an illegal pass and stops right in front.

A young man wearing a hood then jumps out of the driver’s seat and runs towards the camera-equipped car, which in the meantime, tries to back up.

Words are exchanged (perhaps our Hebrew-speaking readers can help with the translation) and door handles are rattled before the youngster runs back to his Renault to pick up what looks like a crow bar (or something of the sort).

The hooded youngster then comes jumping towards the car ready for a fight only to be confronted by the man who we assume to be the driver pointing a gun at his face and then ordering him to drop the bar, sit down and put his hands on his head!

Luckily, both parties kept their cool and the incident ended there as the man did not take any additional actions allowing the driver to return to his car.

The description of the incident is in Hebrew, though a number of commentators on YouTube said that the man holding the gun was a volunteer police officer who was recording the driver in the Renault after he made several illegal passes on the road.

The Renault driver noticed it and that’s why he stopped to confront the man – or at least that’s the explanation given on YouTube, something we can’t verify at this time.

You can watch the incident unroll in the video after the break.
