‘Tis the time of the year again – but not for what you’re thinking. We’re referring to Japanese carmakers and their plans for the upcoming 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon in January.

After Nissan, Subaru has come out with a list of vehicles that will adorn its motor show booth in Tokyo next month and which includes a variety of concepts, production and racing cars.

The most interesting models appear to be the concepts beginning with the BRZ Premium Sport Package that is fitted with a carbon roof, 19-inch BBS prototype alloy wheels, an STI aero kit, a customized interior and a sports muffler.

The newly launched Forester will be shown as a Sport Concept featuring several prototype STI parts such as spoilers, a front grille and suspension bits along with 20-inch BBS wheels.

The third study is based on the XV crossover and it also carries the Sport Concept moniker boasting a similar suite of upgrades as the Forester.

Subaru’s other models include the production Legacy tS, a pair of race-prepped BRZs and the company’s next generation D-4S boxer engine.
