The gaming scene has been pretty quiet with regards to insider information about the upcoming PlayStation 4 (PS4) exclusive racing title Gran Turismo 7 (GT7). It’s a game that is eagerly anticipated, after Gran Turismo 6 failed to make a big splash when it launched, landing on an ageing console, with ageing graphics and a very pretty rival in the form of Forza 5.

Recently, a forum user that’s known to work for Sony made suggestive comments when another (less well informed) member posted a short rant aimed at the long development times of the gaming industry and the GT franchise in particular.

To that, the known Sony affiliate replied, “Are we talking about GT7 or the prologue here ;)”

Obviously, this doesn’t mean anything without a sprinkling of speculation, but it could mean that the upcoming GT title will be preceded by a trimmed down Prologue version, like both GT4 and 5 had. There’s also a very big chance that Sony’s upcoming racing-oriented virtual reality headset (known as “Project Morpheus”) will be supported and possibly an integral part of the experience.
