A bee-hunt is underway in Massachusetts as Ashland police are looking for a bee described as a female of European descent with a long proboscis, two pairs of wings and three pairs of legs wearing a fuzzy neck scarf, which may have attacked a driver of a Beemer X5 E53. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

The 50-year old driver, who literally rolled over his 2003 BMW X5 on its side on Winter Street just before 6 a.m. on Friday, blamed the accident on the perky bee that had infiltrated his SUV.

“[The] operator told officers that a bee was inside his vehicle, causing him to lose control and veer off the road,” Ashland police said in a statement, adding that there were no injuries reported.

The bee did not sting the unidentified man, but the cops did, as they charged him for unlicensed operation of a vehicle as he did not have a driver’s license.
