Volkswagen will serve a new edition of its Gol-based Saveiro small pickup truck at the São Paulo Motor Show 2014 on October 28 in Brazil.

Named the “Surf”, it’s basically a higher-specification version of the regular-cab Saveiro Trendline CS with some added styling features to justify its existence in the range.

These include the chrome-trimmed grille with a honeycomb insert, silver accents on the door mirrors, smoked lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, Surf badges, side panel decals, faux leather seats, aluminum pedals and standard A/C.

Nothing changes under the hood with the Surf maintaining VW’s 1.6-liter bi-fuel unit that delivers 104hp when running on ethanol and 101hp on gasoline, paired to a five-speed manual.
