By now, you’ve probably already seen the good reception the 2015 Subaru Outback got from the press. Points of praise were the revised styling, upped interior quality and the new touchscreen infotainment system.

All is still well for it, although Brian Cooley from CNET did find several things very wrong with the latter. Its touch response is good, the sat-nav function is good and the map is clear, but when it comes to streaming media from your phone or the internet, it begins to fall short.

It offers plenty of choices, but they’re all confusingly arrange and duplicated in various sub-menus. The functionality is there, in fact there may be a bit too much of it on the connectivity/streaming front, and it should all be more streamlined and simple to pick up – currently it looks like you need the manual and some time to figure all of it out.
