With the new F1 season nearly here, one team very red and very Italian team is looking forward to washing away the bitter taste of 2014.

Last year was a major disappointment for Ferrari – which goes double for Kimi Raikkonen if we’re to look at his results compared to those of his former teammate Fernando Alonso.

Kimi finished a personal record low 12th overall in the Driver standings, 106 points behind Alonso – which is a horrible position to be in when you’re such a talented driver.

Luckily for the team, both drivers, not just Kimi, feel like the 2015 car will put them in a much stronger position to be competitive.

“We feel better overall as a team and I’m sure we are much more ready for this year,” said Raikkonen. “I think we have to be happy with where we are in testing and comparing where we finished last year.”

We’re pretty sure they’ll be very happy once they get going in Melbourne, since we’ve seen nothing but good signs from them during winter testing.

Ferrari newcomer and four-time champion Sebastian Vettel was quoted as saying “It depends on the form of the other teams as well but I think we’ve made a step”.

That step could take them anywhere from battling Williams and Red Bull for 2nd best in the Constructors’ standings, to actually being title contenders – which isn’t so far fetched considering what we saw from them in Jerez.
