Tesla CEO Elon Musk apparently has a plan to end one of the biggest hurdles of electric car ownership on Thursday, with something that’s going to affect the entire Model S lineup.

This is according to a tweet from Musk Sunday morning. The press conference is called for 9 a.m. Thursday.

What is could actually be is a good guess right now. Announcements about new powertrains or battery swap plans are unlikely because Musk said in the tweet it would be a software update that Model S owners would receive. Again, Musk is vague when limited to 140 characters and in making announcements to raise all of our interest.

Whether or not it actually solves range anxiety or is a gimmick to make finding a Tesla Supercharger more obvious, we’re interested to hear what Musk has to say on Thursday.
