The Weissach Package that this Porsche 918 Spyder comes with didn’t matter that much in the drag race against a tuned Nissan GT-R with far more power than it had.

The 918 makes 887 hp and thanks to the aforementioned package it’s some 40 kg / 88 lbs lighter than standard, but a 1,325 hp tuned GT-R poses a serious threat to it regardless.

The video description says the GT-R is capable of hitting sixty in two seconds and running the standing quarter in 8.7 seconds. The 918 is comparable to sixty, but on paper it takes 1.2 seconds longer to complete a run and you can see the difference.

You’re left with two things after watching it: a Nissan GT-R can be made extremely fast for comparably less money than it costs to buy a 918, but at the same time the 918 is by no means humiliated in this race.
