The first ever crossover model of the British company has already secured a place at the Guinness Book of World Records by performing the largest loop-the-loop at its official debut.

Terry Grant, the famous stunt driver who performed the record act, withstood the massive 6.5g of forces generated as he piloted the F-Pace on the giant 360-degree loop that measured 19,08m in height. The driver undertook two months of physical and dietary training to prepare his body for the extreme forces he was about to experience.

“Driving the world’s largest loop tonight was a very proud moment in my career”, said Grant and continued “I am delighted to bring the Guinness World Record back to the UK and help Jaguar run rings around their competitors ahead of the motor show tomorrow.”

Jaguar will offer a special ‘First Edition’ model which is limited to 2,000 units globally. Powered exclusively by the 380PS supercharged V6 petrol and 300PS V6 diesel, the F-Pace First Edition is painted in two, unique paintjobs, Caesium Blue and Halcyon Gold, which are a direct reference to the C-X17 concept car. Other highlights include the 22-inch wheels finished in grey while the cabin is dressed in Windsor soft-grain leather.

“When we created this car we thought differently; we took a Jaguar sports car and made it family friendly,” said Ian Callum. “The F-PACE exudes performance yet you can fit five people and all their belongings in it. This is a car for people who love driving, who love design and who love technology – this is the ultimate practical sports car.”
