One of the better-working combinations in the automotive world is when Italian design and expertise meets formal German engineering.

There were countless Italian-German alliances that have stunned the motoring business, beginning with the modern-day Lamborghinis and ending with Novitec-tuned Ferraris. For instance, the 1970’s Volkswagen line-up had Giugiaro written all over it, and BMW too wasn’t a stranger to Italian designers.

Even nowadays, the two cultures have proven to be a great coalition, and this Momo-modified 2016 VW Jetta GLI 2.0T is the latest formal car to bear some Italian style.

Equipped with 19-inch “Revenge” rims – the first “mesh’ rim design from Momo – a Momo wheel and a vibrant interior, the Jetta features the classic OEM-plus styling recipe (lowered car, roof-rack, clean looks), only with some added flair and panache.

The huge concave-styled rims, wrapped in 235/35 ZR19 Pirelli P Zero tires, along with the H&R coil-overs improve the car’s handling and dynamic capabilities. Moreover, the 14.4-inch, cross-drilled rotors and four-piston calipers from Brembo is a serious stopping-power package.

Momo omitted to specify the actual power the engine produces, but mentioned that the factory-stock 210 hp mill benefits from improved breathing and a refined, sporty sound thanks to a stainless steel Milltek Sport cat-back exhaust.

Inside, the car comes furnished with a limited-edition MOMO GT50 Anniversario steering wheel with yellow trim details. As a matter of fact, the yellow-color motif was spread throughout the cabin, and it can be found on the custom-stitched “Momo” headrests, the seat stitching, and on the shift boot and e-brake boot.

The Jetta was also fitted with cleverly-disguised display in the side air vent, Produced by P3 Cars, which provides additional information to the driver, including turbo boost, and exhaust gas temperature, to a 0-60mph timer, coolant temperature, throttle position, outside temperature, speed and more. The add-on is very immersive, as it was designed to match the car’s illumination.
