The four-ring brand is on a teaser frenzy with its upcoming subcompact crossover, which is just days away from being officially unveiled in Geneva.

In the image found by Ferdfanpage, the new Audi Q2 partially reveals its sweptback LED headlights that incorporate daytime running lights and profile, in an overall design that mirrors its larger siblings.

Speaking of size, the new Audi Q2 will slot below the Q3 and will be available only as a five-door model. Rather than using the same platform as the A1, it will be underpinned by the VW Group’s MQB modular architecture, which will give it access to a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines. There is no talk of a hybrid just yet, but such a model might complete the lineup in the near future.

Six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmissions will send power to the front wheels, in  entry-level models, while Audi’s all-wheel drive quattro system will become available on more expensive models.
