After seeing a prototype of Opel / Vauxhall’s Zafira Tourer last week, the minivan was spotted again, this time wearing less razzle dazzle disguise around the headlights.

As mentioned before, the front light-clusters appear to have lost the boomerang headlights, aligning to the IntelliLux-Matrix design introduced by the new Astra. Opel obviously thought a more conventional appearance will benefit the Zafira, relinquishing the vertical style cues of the current model. That means the front bumper, the radiator grille and the back-end will all be (slightly) revised.

The sides of the Zafira will remain untouched, though, keeping intact its overall shape. An upgraded interior is expected as well, sporting the same features found on the Astra, including an infotainment system with OnStar service.

Mechanical-wise, the upcoming multi-purpose-vehicle will most likely receive some updates and could borrow some engine options form the aforementioned small hatchback, including the latest 145PS turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine. A new transmission is expected to be added as well.
