Mazda’s participation in the French motor show is not yet finalized, with Paris already losing Ford and Volvo from its exhibitors list.

Mazda Europe’s CEO Jeff Guyton said during a press event that their involvement in the show is still under discussion.

AutoNews reports that Mazda’s Europe boss added that Paris is a huge show, but it’s difficult for Mazda to make an impact among France’s domestic auto makers – Renault, Peugeot, Citroen and DS.

Earlier this month, Ford announced that they will not participate at the bi-annual event as they are focusing more on tech events like the CES in Las Vegas while Volvo is also going to skip Paris as they are reducing their show appearances to one per region.

The Japanese company is going to debut the Mazda 3 with the 1.5-litre diesel engine first shown in the 2 supermini and the CX-3 crossover, and they are also going to give a European debut to the gorgeous RX-Vision concept at the Geneva Motor Show, giving us more info on the next-generation rotary engine called Skyactiv-R.
