If you want to see what 0 to 508 km/h in under 4 seconds looks like, don’t blink.

Top Fuel dragsters are the bee’s knees when it comes to drag racing, but what did you expect from the “quickest accelerating vehicles in the world”?

Because of the tremendous speeds they can achieve, the competitions between these behemoths are raced only to the 305 meter (1000 foot) mark; but don’t get upset, because 305 meters is enough for a Top Fuel vehicle to register speeds of 530 km/h (330 mph) and 3.7 second runs.

It takes only 0.8 second for a “car” like this to accelerate from 0 to 160 km/h (100 mph), while the driver is subjected to an average acceleration of 4.0G over the duration of the race.

Impressed yet? How about we tell you that the movement of the earth created by a 7000 hp dragster is equivalent to a 3.9 on the Richter scale? But enough chit chatting, because we believe it’s time to see Shawn Langdon’s Top Fuel drag racer having its way with the drag strip.

Using a camera mounted inside the cockpit, the driver registered his 3.77 second run and the results are pretty amazing.
