Car fans worldwide have helped Lotus Exclusive choose one of their most famous racing color schemes for an extremely limited Evora 400 Exclusive edition.

The color scheme is the result of a social media poll on Lotus’ most popular social media platforms, where fans favored this Blue & Orange look over multiple other modern interpretations of classic automotive color combos, as well as established Lotus liveries.

As for what the Blue & Orange look represents, it’s a racing color scheme first seen in the 1960s, featuring a complementary palette inside with black leather upholstery and orange contrast stitching.

The new Blue & Orange limited edition Evora 400 also comes with a white decal stripe, giving what is a modern car, a genuinely retro look – further enhanced by the black forged wheels and red brake calipers.

“Any one of the designs in the poll would have been a worthy winner. So now that the poll has finished and with thousands of votes cast, we have decided that the winner will make it into production. We only plan to build 10 of these Evora 400 sports cars in total so with their rarity, I expect them to quickly become very desirable,” said Lotus Group CEO Jean-Marc Gales.

Since 10 units is the very definition of a limited production run, Lotus expects this Exclusive edition model to sell out quickly. However, customers can still go on to create their own unique Lotus with the help of the company’s Exclusive program, combining traditional British craftsmanship with modern designs.
