Just before its world debut, a brief teaser clip of the brand new Proton Persona has been released by the company.
The teaser trailer for the Asia-exclusive sedan takes obvious inspiration from the Fast and Furious franchise with similar graphics and depicting the heist of a car, namely the updated Persona.
Thanks to the brief 15-second clip, we do get a look at a few of the car’s updated elements. For starters, we can see that the interior will include an engine start/stop button and should be able to seat five passengers comfortably.
As the car is driven off the truck and stolen at the end of the teaser, we’re provided with another view of the refreshed front fascia. First displayed in a revealing teaser image, the new Persona will include a set of stylish headlights, a large lower blacked-out front grille, dedicated fog light clusters and of course, a prominent Proton badge.
In terms of powertrains, customers will be able to choose between a 1.3-liter four-cylinder petrol with 94 hp and 120 Nm (88 lb-ft) of torque and a 1.6-liter with 107hp and 150 Nm (110 lb-ft).
