This Is What A Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R VSpec II Nür With 10km Looks Like

We don’t know if this makes us sad or happy; a virtually unused 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nür is heading to an auction, giving us a great opportunity to see the iconic R34 in a brand-new state.

On the other hand, having the keys to one of the most sought-after performance icons on the planet and not driving it does makes us sad, especially since this is one of the last examples of its generation.

The 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R VSpec II Nür is sort-of the last hurrah for the R34 generation, mixing the VSpec II goodness with an upgraded RB26 engine. Despite the engine’s specs remaining officially unchanged, at 276hp and 293lb-ft of torque, Nissan had installed bigger turbos with a slightly bigger boost pressure and a reinforced block, making the engine even more durable to future upgrades.

Other features include a speedometer that tops out at 300km/h (186mph) and an exclusive interior stitching along with the usual VSpec II goodies such as the stiffer suspension, the bigger brakes, the carbon fiber bonnet and the iridium interior trim pieces.

The car is described as unregistered and will be auctioned by BHauction at the Tokyo Auto Salon on January 12, 2018.

I would take this over an R35 any day.

      I personally wouldn’t take an R34 Skyline GT-R over an R35 unless it’s a Nismo

      • I don’t think he meant literally…

        • Bo Hanan

I did. the R35 is over complicated and ugly. The extra power doesn’t make up for it.

On the one hand it does infuriate me because cars like these are meant to be driven, on the other hand I do want to see them preserved in stock format for future generations.

    • I guess you are right but these cars only represent less than 5% of total production. So you still got a lot of cars driven daily.

stop it already, i’m having awesome over load, again.

Such an ugly car… and it is definitely not aging well at all.

      ahem….I disagree with that,,,,-_-

I think the Z-tune was more the last hurrah for the R34…

    • Honda NSX-R

      It was

    • But yeah the V-Spec II Nur is more like factory last hurrah.

Who knows if it was just sitting there collecting dust for the past 10 km it was in, or if people were actually maintaining it in that time period. Either way, I wouldn’t buy it unless I was rich with a fleet of awesome cars.

    • Knowing Japanese collectors it could be both but the auction listing did say it’s well maintained so I assumed it’s not sitting around and collecting dust.

Remember when awesome cars used to have just two exhaust tips? Crazy…

Cars are meant to be driven, not to stay in a garage like this one, but i’ve got to admit that seen a bone stock R34 GT-R amazes me.

oh STFU that’s why you never be rich

Such a strong argument that by no means it’s out of context, at all.

  • Cars like this remind me to a quote by Simon Kidston “Having low mileage car is like preserving your wife virginity to next person that marry her”

This crack me up so much.
